Lourenço is the best surf guide you can ever stumble across! So knowledgeable and fun, made me fall in love with the ocean even more and understand it better! He's the best in the business! If you want to be a pro, he'll make this dream come true

Great surf school, especially for advanced training! I took several video coaching sessions with this school and it has been very helpful. The owner recommended to do it together with some surf skate sessions. He spotted my mistakes in the video analysis and then taught the correct movements on the surf skate. Very friendly team.

Lourenço is a nice guy and an amazing teacher, also for kids. We have a boy and a girl, 7 and 5, they learned immediately. Most of all, they had fun. Thanks for all!

Lourenço is great! He is friendly, knows what he is talking about and you can tell he loves what he does. He really wants to help you become a better surfer, it’s great for intermediates and advanced surfers too. I did just one surf skate lesson with him and it already massively improved my turns on the waves! 10/10 would recommend :)

FAQ

IS IT WORTH GETTING SURF LESSONS?

If you are a beginner, you will definitely learn the basics much faster if you take some lessons. If you are an intermediate/advanced, most of the times your learning curve stagnates and you stop feeling the adrenaline of new achievements and pushing your limits. In our lessons we make sure that each surfer is working at their own pace to reach their personal goals by unlocking some technical points that will allow you to move forward.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO SURF?

You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. For the surf sessions you will need a swimming suit (whatever kind you prefer) and a towel to get dry after the session. We will provide wetsuit and board. We always recommend to bring dry underwear to change after the session as you will feel more comfortable and avoid getting sick. Ear plugs are not mandatory but the water in Portugal is cold all year round so it is the best to keep your ears safe.

CAN SENIORS LEARN TO SURF?

As Kelly Slater says, "It's all about where your mind's at". Surfing has no limits, as long as you're keen to get in the water and have some fun, everything else is adjustable. Kelly is 50 years old and keeps competing at the highest level in the world.

WHAT DO SURFERS BRING TO THE BEACH?

Board - it doesn't matter the shape and size, as long as you have fun on it.
Wax and Comb - it is always good to have it with you in case you need to put some wax on the board before surf.
Wetsuit - In Portugal, the water is cold all year round so we recommend a 3/2 or 4/3 on warm days and 4/3 or 5/4 on colder days.
Earplugs - a lot of surfers don't use them but it is the best to keep your ears safe, mostly in cold water.
Surf Poncho - it can also be replaced by a regular towel as long as it dries you and allows you to change after the session.
Waterproof bag/bucket - don't forget that your wetsuit will be wet after the session, it is always good to have a place to keep it until you arrive home.
Worries and Stress - you can bring it with you, the ocean will clean it all :D
